Happened today the Film Independent Spirit Awards, award offered annually to the best independent films and professionals involved therein. Joe attended the event presenting the award for "Best Screenplay" alongside actress Elizabeth Banks. Also, Will Reiser, writer and producer of 50/50 won the "Indie Spirit Award" for long. As everyone knows, '50 / 50 'premiered in the U.S. on September 30. And on Monday it was disclosed the U.S. box office. The film debuted at 5th place grossing around $ 8.6 million in its first weekend.
First it was the film 'Winter, The Dolphin' with $ 13.9 million. Followed by 'Moneyball' with $ 12 million, 'The Lion King 3D' with $ 10.6 million and 'Courageous' with $ 9 million.
So far there is no provision for the movie premiere in Brazil.

On September 21, Joe and the cast of 50/50 participated in the program of Ellen Degeneres. Unfortunately, we did not get the video of the interview only, due to the restrictions to watch out of the country, but the entire episode published on another website.
